Your Journey, Step by Step

Step 1: Your First Phone Call

When you call (419) 740-3022, our admissions team will answer. They are warm, non-judgmental, and trained to help. They will ask a few basic questions:

  • What brings you in? (substance use, mental health, or both)
  • Do you have insurance? (we accept all Ohio Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial)
  • When would you like to come in?

Average call time: 5-10 minutes. Many clients are scheduled same-day or next business day.

Step 2: Arriving at Our Facility

Our clinic is located at 111 Clinton Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537. When you arrive:

  • Free parking available in our lot
  • Check in at the front desk — our staff will greet you by name
  • Comfortable, private waiting area
  • Brief paperwork (or complete online beforehand)

Bring: Photo ID, insurance card, list of medications. Do not have these? Come anyway.

Step 3: Clinical Assessment (60-90 minutes)

A licensed clinician will meet with you one-on-one in a private office. This is a conversation, not an interrogation. They want to understand:

  • Your current situation and what you are experiencing
  • Your history (substance use, mental health, medical)
  • Your goals — what does recovery look like for you?
  • Your support system (family, housing, employment)

Everything you share is confidential and protected by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

Step 4: Treatment Recommendation

Based on your assessment, your clinician will recommend a level of care. This is a collaborative discussion — you have a voice in your treatment plan.

  • Ambulatory Detox — if you need medical withdrawal support
  • PHP (Partial Hospitalization) — full-day structured treatment
  • IOP (Intensive Outpatient) — flexible for working adults
  • Outpatient Therapy — individual or group sessions
  • MAT — medication-assisted treatment if appropriate

Step 5: Begin Treatment

Many clients begin treatment the same day or within 24-48 hours of their assessment. Your first day of treatment includes:

  • Meeting your treatment team (therapist, counselor, peers)
  • Orientation to the program and schedule
  • First group or individual session
  • Connecting with peer support specialists

Common Concerns (Addressed)

"I am scared."

That is completely normal. Most of our clients felt the same way before their first visit. Our team is trained to make you feel safe and comfortable from the moment you walk in.

"I do not want people to know."

Your privacy is protected by federal law (HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2). We cannot share your information with anyone without your written consent — not your employer, not family members, not law enforcement.

"I have tried before and failed."

Relapse is a common part of recovery — not a sign of failure. Many of our most successful clients tried multiple times before finding what worked. Each attempt teaches you something. This time can be different.

"I cannot afford it."

We accept all Ohio Medicaid plans (no copay), Medicare, and commercial insurance. If you are uninsured, we can help you apply for Medicaid or discuss other options. Cost should never prevent you from getting help.
